SWEET COUNTRYSIDE PROJECT
Country style can also be modern! In this Sweet Countryside project, I created a space with sweet, country, natural, creative and fresh feel, with pink tones. For this house renovation, the fictional client was a couple with two teenage daughters, and a bright newly-built open-plan house.
With this project’s Scandi furniture and geometric tiled floors, I selected decorative details that feel more traditionally countryside.
The Master bedroom consists of two main areas: the sleeping area, and the lounging space. Lighting and textiles can help define and differentiate the areas.
Keeping in mind the feel of the project, as well as the materials selection, I allowed the previous selections to guide the choices.
For a creative, airy space for a family and their friends, I made sure to address and create social areas, as well as private areas to which to retreat for thoughtful quiet moments.
In this materials mood board, I show how the different selected materials work together and contrast.
Country style can also be modern! It’s a modern take on country, combining traditional floral wallpapers with contemporary geometric tiles.
