Sweet Countryside Living Room Furnishings

Once the Sweet Countryside floor plan had been set, it was time to consider furnishings selection. Keeping in mind the feel of the project (sweet, country, natural, creative and fresh, with pink tones), as well as the materials selection (light woods, natural textures, textured leather, linens, brass), I allowed the previous selections to guide the choices.

The sitting room looking towards the outdoor view was kept light and fresh, with light grey materials for the sofas, and natural textures for the rug and pendant lamp. The cushions were mostly kept to a calm palette, with the small pops of colour linking it to the rest of the house. Lots of wooden furniture to keep in with the countryside connection, and beautifully designed Scandi furniture to elevate the space and keep it airy.

For the TV room, I kept it a cosy and relaxed space for lounging, with no-fuss materials, and patterned cushions. I incorporated fresh Scandi design with an armchair and coffee table, to balance the full-on William Morris country-feel wallpaper.

Here’s a recap of how the space will be laid out, and of the feel of the project.
