Painted Cabinets to Try Yourself
Painting dated wooden furniture, or your flea market finds, is a fantastic way to give them new life, and to add character to your home! It’s so easy these days with chalk paints, which were developed for exactly this purpose, and often require minimal prep (wiping off and light sanding) and no sealant. If you already have a drab bit of furniture that you don’t even notice anymore, or have picked up a random piece recently at the market, try painting them!
Painted cabinets are a particularly beautiful way to add a pop of colour to your hallway or room. There are so many finishes to choose from, but a good solid opaque colour feels fresh. And, the shade you choose doesn’t have to be anything crazy - a green or blue with lots of grey in it is traditional and will easily fit into many homes!
