Natural Creatives Lighting Plan
Once our floor plan is set, it makes it much more intuitive where to place lamps. What areas of the home do we want to highlight, or gravitate towards? Which corners can become atmospheric points of interest, and which should be left in the shadows?
Continuing on with the Natural Creatives Project, I considered which parts of the home were social, quiet, or task-oriented.
I referenced the materials mood board (below again) to guide me in the choice of lamps. Warm brass will beautifully patina and add even more character to the space over time. Black metal like iron will add pops of definition and modernity. Natural woven materials, linens, wood, and stone will ground the space. And curved forms and will keep it soft. As the couple are creatives and interested in Scandinavian design, I picked traditional designs such as from Louis Poulsen and Josef Frank, and classic globe lamps.
