Cosy Scandi Christmas Decor in London

Christmas is a magical time of year. All of those twinkling fairy lights, extra candles, and window star lights literally set interiors aglow! I love to sprinkle my tables with candles, set atop red table runners and festive tablecloths. Flowering hyacinths or amaryllis bulbs, in vases and pots, are a Swedish tradition at this time of year. These sprouting bulbs ring in new beginnings for the upcoming year. Star lamps, hanging or standing in windows, twinkle in the windows of many homes across Sweden, and it’s a tradition I think is so special. They are so cosy indoors, and even more charming when approaching your home from the outside cold. Shiny ornaments hang from the tree, dangling amongst fairy lights that softly blink, in a seemingly reassuring way. Swedish “tomtar” santa decorations dotted around the room add a traditional touch. Red cushions and blankets reappear on the sofas, continuing Christmas joy at home.
