British Eccentricity: Matilda Goad

Have you heard of British Interior Decorator and product designer Matilda Goad? I discovered her quirky English brand via Instagram, just missing out on her sample sale (almost sold out before I was going to be en route!). Her work is playful, eclectic, and bursting full of personality – considering that, it’s very British! And an easily translate across the world, in my opinion.

I personally think a home should feel relaxed enough that you can express yourself freely, no matter what your personal taste is. Whether that be through mixed patterns, a collection of quirky items, or a bold painting.

My favourites are the lampshade with scalloped edges, the ridged candles in an array of lovely uplifting colours, the woven materials, and her bold use of colour!
