Scandi Forest Home: Mood
Scandi interiors, at their best, are cosy! In this Scandi Forest Home project by me, follow the development of style, feeling, and space. For this house renovation, the fictional client was a couple with children (3, 5), and a bright newly-built open-plan house.
Key ideas to hang onto throughout the project became: cosy, natural, atmosphere, welcoming, warm, with earthy colours.
Using a mood board to visually communicate the vision, you can see natural textures like wood, sheepskin, and leather to echo nature. Earthy colours to flow naturally into their view of forest. Soft textures for cuddles and lounging. A place to make yummy cocoa with the kids on cool afternoons, or spend hours into the evening hanging out with friends.
