The Bloomsbury Group's Country Garden

I find the Bloomsbury group fascinating. This group of artists, thinkers and writers, were based in London’s Bloomsbury area in the 1920s, and championed a free-flowing approach to life. Recently, I visited Charleston, the group’s countryside hideaway in East Sussex.

Due to restrictions, I wasn’t able to make it inside the house, so just wandered adjoining gardens. They are so charming - full of English wild flowers, and dotted with statues!

I’m taking notes! Such a lush, effortless-feel to the garden! Group various wispy flowers together for this English countryside vibe. Consider different heights of plants to create levels and texture.
