Cosy White Countryside Winter
A white space can absolutely become a cosy space too. Swedish store Ellos has styled an incredibly cosy white winter space. Here are some tips how you can create a warm atmosphere in your white home.
1. Evergreen plants as decoration
We associate evergreen trees indoors with Christmas trees, but a small, potted, and undecorated evergreen or pine will breath life into your space. Whilst bringing a bit of nature indoors, it’s also a low-maintenance way to decorate your coffee table, dining table, kitchen table, or windowsill!
2. Tablescape with neutral dried winter bits
Add interest to a subdued palette through texture. Dress your table with dried floral arrangements, which will last you through the season!
3. Textiles to soften
Warm up an all-white space through textiles. There are many options of beiges, whites, and greys, plain and also with subtle patterns like stripes, or faded block-printing. Consider keeping out a table cloth and table runners at this time of year, as well as your cosy blankets and sheepskins.
4. Cosy by candlelight
Cosy 101 is light a candle! Keep a candelabra at your kitchen table, ready to light for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Make sure to spread others around your house, to create a cocooning atmosphere.
5. Glowing Window Lights
Hang a light in your window, whether it’s an electrical star like these, or a candle holder as below. It’ll add light on those darker days, as well as give your home an incredibly welcoming feel from the outside. A beacon of hope for those coming in from the cold!
