5 Ways to Setup Your WFH Space

Looking to define your workspace at home? Here are a few bits you can source and gather from around your home, which will help to create your own personal WFH (work from home) station.

1. Water Carafe

Do you have a carafe at home that you only take out for dinner parties? Now is the time to bring it out. Fill it up and set it down next to your computer. Not only will it look lovely, but it will help you to keep track of how much water you still need to drink today!

2. Sculptural Deco

Is there a decorative vase or souvenir that sets your imagination wild? Possibly currently on display in a bookshelf or on top of a side table? Try moving it to your work area, to get your creative juices working.

3. Lovely Tea Cup

Whip out your special occasion cups or elegant tea set to elevate your coffee breaks. Think of it like dressing up your coffee mug in the same way you yourself might dress up to go to the office or a coffee date.

4. Basket Tray

Baskets are basically always a good idea, as they collect floating bits, while adding calming biophilia to your home. Group your office things together on a basket tray, (consider in jars too, to better organise them), so they’re easy to get to, but don’t clutter the space.

5. Plant life

Another tip that works for basically anywhere in the house! Place a plant or dried flowers onto your desk to warm up a space that could otherwise be very sterile. Nature will work to calm you, even during online video meetings.
