3 Parisian Spots this Spring
I spent a week in Paris this February, and these are the spots that inspired me. Already a fan of Rue des Martyrs in the 9th arrondissement, I made sure to scout out if there was anything new to discover there.
Are you familiar with these spots already?
1. Musée de la Vie Romantique Rose Bakery
The courtyard of the Musée de la Vie Romantique (9th) is so charming. The museum house itself, with light green shutters and plants, feels like a piece of French countryside tucked away in the city. And now, the conservatory is home to the Rose Bakery, making it a lovely stop for coffee. Come back in the spring or summer to take advantage of their outdoor seating.
And how lovely is this green, red and beige plaid wall at the Musée de la Vie Romantique? The fabric covers all four walls of this tiny room, and brings so much character to the space!
2. Les Résistants
Organic and locally sourced is the name of the game at Les Résistants restaurant in the 10th arrondissement. So, it’s fitting that natural, handcrafted materials would define their restaurant’s decoration. Woven lamps and chairs, rustic wood, dried flowers, and uneven tiles, all come together nicely.
3. La Mesa de Hoy
The restaurant La Mesa de Hoy in the 9th is an escape to Mexico! The vegetarian menu with Mexican flavours was inspired and delicious. And the interiors were minimalist, with lots of natural materials: ceramics, linens, dried flowers, and stone.
