3 Lighting Solutions to Consider

Lighting is a key player in creating atmosphere at home! Often we miss out on easy ways to bring our home to the next level, such as using different types of lamps, positioned at various levels. Here are 3 lighting solutions to consider, to give your place a boost. Could you fit in any of these at home?

1. Low-level lighting

When curating a space, indoors or outdoors, it’s important to think not only about what is at eye-level, but also about what is above and below. Low-level lighting can be created with a table lamp placed on the floor, or even one of those small globe decorative lamps. A lantern with an LED candle inside works too!

2. Atmospheric wall lamp

Wall lamps can be often over-looked, but they can be highly effective! Instead of a framed poster or piece of art, consider decorating your wall with a wall lamp. It will create interest as well as cosifying your space. Consider placing one in a hallway, at the end of a sofa, or over a side table, for instance. You can find sculptural wall lamps, as well as classic sconces - both work beautifully to create a mood.

3. Light your bookshelf

When considering the bookshelf, long LED strips to light up each shelf come to mind. This is a great idea, and can feel very luxurious. Something even easier to implement, and also very effective, is simply to place one or more small lamps in your shelves! A mini globe lamp is fantastic for this: lighting up your collection, creating a focal point, and bringing atmosphere. Again, a deep tea-light holder with and LED candle works well too (I like to conceal the LED candle, so as to get the lighting effect of a traditional candle, without advertising the fact that it’s not actually one).
